How To Redshirt Players In College Football 25 Road To Glory
Luckily, there’s not much you need to do to CFB 25 Coins redshirt players in Road to Glory, but the mode also doesn’t give you a ton of control over the mechanic. To redshirt in Road to Glory, any freshman player has to not be on the field for a single snap in at least four games. If any player, including your own, meets that threshold by the end of the season, they will be given the redshirt status.
As you likely know, Road to Glory in College Football 25 doesn’t let you determine when your players see the field. Those decisions are made by the coaching staff based on the current depth chart or injuries from game to game and week to week. If you see a player that’s a backup on the depth chart, they’re much more likely to see the field for a few snaps over a third or fourth-string player.
The best way to control whether your player is given the redshirt status is to commit them to a top school for their freshman year. The more stars a school has, the more likely that you won’t see the field too much as a freshman due to the amount of talent that’s already on the roster.
It also depends on the position you’re playing and the players ahead of you on the depth chart. Before committing to a school, you can see how many players (up to three) are above you on the depth chart at the time of signing. If these players are rated higher than you, there’s a likely chance you won’t crack the top two or three at the position for much of the season, giving you better odds at redshirting.
Of course, this isn’t always in your control. If you put in good practice and you’re playing a position that can feature multiplayer players on the field at once (wide receiver, running back, etc.), there is a chance you see the field more often than you might think. However, if you’re a quarterback and commit to a five-star school, there’s almost zero chance you see the field in a majority of games.
You’ll know your player is given the redshirt status if you view their description on the depth chart and see the “redshirt” label applied to them. If you’re at the end of the season and buy College Football 25 Coins don’t see the redshirt label, then they must have played some snaps in more than four games.
