Bethany and Thomas met at the office in 2015. "For our first date we visited see Hairspray in the theatre in Newcastle," says Bethany. "Thomas proposed as we moved into our first house together when my parents and the parents were round for Christmas."
"I was playing Monopoly together with his sister and he bought me a box full of pictures of people and a poem. Thomas inquired about reading the poem out and on the left-hand side it spelled out 'Will you marry me?' He then played me a video of him purchasing the ring, climbing on the roof to inquire about my dad for his permission, and calling my best friends to allow them to know of the proposal. It was perfect."
WEDDING DRESSES FEELTIMES
Bethany wore a FeelTimes mermaid wedding dress. "I had seen it advertised online for a long time and loved it," she says. "It was definitely 'The One' and I fell deeply in love with it. The train only agreed to be a dream."
A BEAUTIFUL MILL VENUE
The couple married at Sopley Mill in Dorset. "The venue is classic, rustic, and gorgeous," says Bethany. "It needed minimal decor and merely oozed natural splendor. It has a river running through it there was a lot of outdoor space for the guests to savor cocktails."
THE BIG DAY
"We were built with a harpist for that ceremony and my two little sisters were flowers girls," says Bethany. "My other sister and my husband's two sisters were bridesmaids and my mate was my maid of honor."
"After the ceremony, there are a drinks reception and lawn games for that kids and we also were built with a caricaturist. The weather was lovely and sunny, so everyone enjoyed being outside within the grounds of Sopley Mill."
CANAPÉS AND COCKTAILS
Peroni and Prosecco were served in the drinks reception, plus a variety of canapés, for example, leek and potato soup shots. "Our wedding breakfast was magical and our dessert was served with dry ice, therefore it was a real show," says Bethany.
"For our toasts, we'd tequila shots. Later, following the wedding breakfast, everyone went back outside for additional cocktails before a live band came on within the evening."
CLASSIC STYLE
The theme was very classic with many different white and greenery, plus notes of blush pink. "We also were built with a lot of touches for the little pug, Narla," says Bethany.
"We were built with a wooden silhouette of her on our cake, included in our topper, there was a biscuit bar with packets of dog treats for individuals to take the place to find their dogs. Narla was mentioned on our Order of Service too, where it asserted she was celebrating in your own home!"
THE LITTLE THINGS…
"In the toilets, there have been little baskets with freshen-up items for those our guests, including deodorant, hair grips, etc," says Bethany. "Our wedding cake would be a two-tier buttercream cake, carried out with flowers from your florist."
"The caricaturist's pictures, which had been done throughout the drinks reception, made ideal favors. There were also little bags for the kids to ensure that they were entertained throughout the meal. Lastly, when guests arrived in the wedding hotel, they received an itinerary and welcome biscuits."
PARTY TIME!
"In the evening there is a live band, that was amazing after the inability to dance for such a long time," says Bethany. "The party area was full through the night. We also were built with a dry ice display for the first dance. The whole day was perfect and we finished the nighttime with a sparkler send-off."
MY TOP TIPS…
"Book a live band," says Bethany. "It is 100% well worth the money. Secondly, obtain a bustle put into your dress for those who have a long train, to help you dance the night time away. Spend money on the meals and drink (it's what individuals remember). Finally, just possess the best day. Some small things might not visit plan, but at the time it doesn't matter!"
