They met at Bristol University and planned their wedding during the period of the pandemic, having luckily chosen, in the off, the very first weekend after restrictions were lifted.
"We met right at the end of our time at university via a mutual friend, who had been the best man at the time. Fast forward 5 years and we got engaged whilst skiing down 'Le Face' in Val D’Isère in December 2019. I was raised in Easton, a little village outside Winchester. It has an attractive village church along with a great community therefore we always knew we'd love to obtain married there."
"As I was getting married inside a country village I wanted the marriage to be a relaxed but fun affair, using the décor to become timeless but traditional, countryside-inspired. I believe that helped us concentrate on what was important and never get too mounted on a big wedding, although we always had our fingers crossed."
The bride walked on the aisle together with her father like a string trio played Pachelbel's 'Canon in D'.
"Our village vicar officiated the ceremony. It was his second to the last wedding before he retired and he did an incredible job."
The couple exchanged rings and headed outside using their guests to sing the hymn 'Jerusalem', among their favorite moments of the day.
"There was honestly a lot of to choose from however it was probably standing away from church singing 'Jerusalem' (we weren't permitted to sing hymns within the church because of Covid) and also the sun being released."
