Seriously, if you put video of NBA 2K21 side by NBA 2K21 MT side with NBA 2K20 I'd challenge you to spot the difference in the images. This isn't a horrible thing, because this franchise has a long history of becoming one of those best-looking sports games on the market, but it is a little disappointing to see how little has changed year over year. This implies last year's defects have carried over: players still seem good, but beyond those superstars like Kawhi Leonard and LeBron James there's something a little generic concerning the designs.
Some faces have too small detail and unusually large players like Shaquille O'Neal (who is rostered about the"All-Time Lakers" squad available in the demo) do not have the same kind of enormous presence they do in actual life.
Thankfully, the more time I spent with the brand new shot-stick mechanic, the more NBA 2K21 began to separate itself. The new shot meter, which requires preparing shots rather than simply time them, is utilized entirely with the right analog stick. It needs a straight pull down (or upward, when driving toward the basket) and then centering the rod inside the sweet spot on the tube. Not only did I find this new shot meter vastly more challenging, it also fixed a few of other issues I have had with NBA 2K for ages.
First and foremost, I never need to worry about accidentally hurling up a shot when I'm attempting to make a dribble move. Pulling directly back on the analog stick and holding it there will result in a shooter, while some flicks or alternative quicker motions will result in a rotational movement. The brand new shot meter opens up the right-stick to be used completely for dribbling moves, which includes the ability to size-up or utilize escape dribbles. Everything feels a lot cleaner, and it is a wonderful change for a series where matters were starting to Buy MT 2K21 feel too cluttered to restrain.
