Why is State Farm in this game?

It seems like they've found something NBA 2K22 MT they should be leaning into. I'd like them to lean into this instead of offering us many of these ridiculous side-missions and sponsorships in MyCareer. I mean, why is State Farm in this game? Do I need to buy insurance? What's the reason why MyPlayer seem more enthusiastic about rapping than basketball?

The things you see are good on occasion, but, not the State Farm matter. It's just bizarre. But rappingand fashion, sneaker endorsements , and everything else works in spots. The game needs to be a little less focused on these things and more about the awesome basketball game that we're playing.

Yes, Mike. Mike. Everything in 2K22 beyond actual game actions only distracts you from what the game excels at. As someone who doesn't really want to ball within The City at all, I'd say I wouldn't mind splitting the modes completely. That probably wouldn't be an advisable business move, however, and it's unlikely to happen.

I'd also be interested in seeing something Buy NBA 2K MT along the lines of a MyCoach mode. Let me take the reins of the team at high school and progress through college to join the NBA and a 2K version of Football Manager.
