COVID-19 has monumentally impacted my engagement and wedding ceremony planning with my fiance, Maxx. I am a frontline medical worker in NYC. All planning has already been established to be placed on pause since I am an important work in a cancer hospital, within a hard-hit urban epicenter of the crisis. It has impacted our capacity to celebrate our new engagement with family and friends, in light of precautions to help keep our families and friends safe.
I act as a clinical social worker extending mental health support and counseling services to cancer patients, their loved ones' caregivers, and fellow healthcare workers deeply influenced by the Covid -19 crisis. I love my job, which is a privilege to operate alongside such compassionate and selfless individuals in this challenging and fear-inducing time, My role has shifted dramatically because of the chronic traumatic stress on healthcare personnel in this pandemic.
Maxx supports me each day with the stress and emotional toll of my job like a hospital worker Maxx is patient, selfless, kind, devoted, and driven professionally, but always has helped me feel like his priority in large and small ways over our 2 yrs together, and much more so during the last two months of the pandemic He too, being an entrepreneur, continues to be impacted professionally through the economic shutdown. This means the absolute world to us. He loves me unconditionally and challenges me to become a better version of myself, not just for others but for myself. He keeps me grounded and I love him a lot. I am so excited to invest the rest of my entire life with such an incredible man and compassionate, funny, and loving individual.mermaid wedding dress.
