This is why World of Warcraft Classic is making the Vanilla server to time WOTLK Classic Gold, while simultaneously advancing across all Burning Crusade servers to Wrath of the Lich King at the time it goes live. Of course.
The Vanilla Classic servers will continue to replay occasions with Seasons of Mastery to ensure that it doesn't become outdated, also World of Warcraft Classic could be thinking about doing Season of Mastery servers with other expansions like Burning Crusade and other past expansions if there is a demand for it.
The scope and complexity of World of Warcraft varies greatly with each expansion pack, as Wrath of the Lich King isn't an exception. The server that began as a basic Vanilla legacy server will only grow in the scope of its operation as World of Warcraft Classic continues to exist. This raises questions as to the future of World of Warcraft Classic.
"Classic releases content much faster than the original game," Zierhut said, "On the other hand, we'd like to release content this fast. We just couldn't do it." In a variety many ways the schedule Classic maintains the same pace as World of Warcraft would have had in mind.
The result is that the players become bored by the lack of content to explore. But, at the current rate, Classic will eventually catch its retail counterpart, or at minimum, be able to reach expansions without a lot of nostalgia around them.
Ultimately, World of Warcraft Classic is a product of fans. According to Zierhut the players will decide the future of the game. "This whole project has been community-driven-this whole project came to being because the community demanded it buy WOTLK Classic Gold," he explained, "So what does the community want to see next?"
