Daybreak features more difficult hunts to participate in the game, as well as a new type of quest designed to make the solo experience more enjoyable and overhauls the core Switch Skills system that combat is built on. The result is a more satisfying experience which makes the game slightly more accessible for those who are new to the game as well as providing players with an array of new options for combat which will make hunting more exciting.
This week, Capcom provided ComicBook.com with an in-depth review of the new features in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. The preview featured a group of hunters battling the new monster Lunagaron as well as one hunter who is participating in a completely new Follower Quest. Lunagaron is a new kind of monster that is part of the Monster Hunter franchise that resembles something like a mix of a dragon and a wolf.
Lungaron could be the most difficult of challenges for players this is why it is why the Switch Skill system overhaul could prove to be useful. In the past players were able to switch a Switch Skill between hunts by customizing their weapons and allowing for a variety of different play styles.
With Daybreak players can create two sets of Switch Skills and swap between them during battles. This lets players try new combos and playstyles in Buy D2R Ladder Items fights. Also, players can utilize the Swap Evade by using the Switch Skill Swap to avoid ill-timed monster attacks.
