I still recall watching the first video, and playing the very first version of Madden NFL on the Dreamcast. Both were in a distance which is why I was not sure that the actual game would look this impressive.
But, most importantly I didn't want to raise my hopes way too high, as I didn't believe that the game would be played or look as great like what Sega presented to us. We now know that, Madden NFL did, actually, appear and play as well as Sega claimed. So I gave the game an extremely uncommon MMOexp rating of 9.9.
The first time I had the chance for playing the sport I remember asking if could remain and play for a little longer. Think of it. When Madden NFL came out for the Dreamcast and the Dreamcast 2, all that we could play were PlayStation games that, though impressive at that time period, were basic 3D games.
Simply watching the players move around, or playing with the stick analog to force a player to get closer to the line, just like in real football was awe-inspiring. Also, the feeling of throwing and receiving a football in the NFL game at the time could not have been better.
Madden NFL was certainly one of those games that created the Dreamcast appear to have an enormous amount of potential. I've not been this in love with a football game as I was playing Madden NFL since buy madden nfl 23 coins Madden 1992.
