Though Wrath of the Lich King Classic will operate within the expansion's final major patch that brought features like the automated dungeon locater WoTLK Gold, there will be some tweaks. Another major feature , which was added in the initial expansion that was a quest tracking tool, was also announced not to be included. However, Blizzard has claimed that it has since "changed its views" regarding quest tracking.
A change from the first version of the game players will now be capable of creating their first Deathknight character without having to have a previously-created level-55 character on the server (though the prerequisite will exist for Deathknights that are created after the first). Deathknights will be available during the pre-patch of the game, scheduled to be released just a few weeks prior to the expansion's launch. Once the pre-patch arrives it will mean that existing Burning Crusade Classic servers will transform into Wrath of the Lich King Classic servers.
