Blizzard tainment has acquired Boston-based game studio Proletariat and will continue to work to develop World of Warcraft going forward in order to cater to the "voracious desire" among players for fresh games. It's happening in the same moment that Blizzard is being bought by Microsoft via the Xbox maker's $75 billion deal to purchase Activision Blizzard.

Activision Blizzard confirmed on Friday that the acquisition deal Blizzard signed to acquire Proletariat has been concluded, and it also provided some additional information. Director of operations Bobby Kotick said the company is planning to hire "hundreds" more developers in the coming two years to "serve the requirements" of WoW player base.

"The extraordinary team at Proletariat will be a key component of our recruiting effort," Kotick said.

Blizzard President Mike Ybarra offered his own statement, saying the acquisition of Proletariat will help "meet and surpass" player expectations.

"A important aspect that players take care of is taking care of our teams, making sure cheap WOTLK Gold we have enough resources to produce experiences our communities will love while giving our teams space to explore new opportunities in their work," Ybarra said. "Proletariat is an ideal choice to support Blizzard's goal of providing quality content to our players more often."
