When the regular season started

The rule was amended in Madden 23 coins 2015 to generally "any contact with the helmet is considered a foul," it was flagged five to seven times a game in the preseason within the trenches, most often along the offensive line.

A blow directly to the helmet could be legally enforced, and the game in the trenches didn't need the need to fundamentally change.

This is a long way of saying I don't think that the Madden NFL 23 continues to liberally enforce this new helmet rule throughout the season. Are they likely to make a mistake by ignoring it from time when, yes, they'll make mistakes, but the rule shouldn't substantially alter the game , if enforced in a proper manner.
