World of Warcraft's in-game Valentine's Day celebration is virtually here, and this also year Blizzard is "sharing the love" by dramatically improving the drop rate first of the game's most tricky to find mounts.

The mount you want is the X-45 Heartbreaker, a large, flying pink rocket which reaches just earnable a couple of weeks out on the year whilst the Love is within the Air event is ongoing. Players queue with the event dungeon hoping of earning the mount in one with the Heart-Shaped Boxes rewarded for completing the dungeon once each day, per character. Because in the way the rewards are structured as well as the mount's incredibly low drop chance, players have long felt expected to complete case dungeon on several characters as it can be every day the big event was active so as to maximize their chances of getting the mount.

Thankfully, that wont be necessary in the years ahead. In a forum post, Blizzard has explained how case will work differently this season so that the first Heart-Shaped Box earned everyday on an account-wide basis incorporates a greatly increased possibility to contain the mount. All subsequent boxes earned across various characters will continue to have a possibility to drop the mount, nevertheless it will be the ultra-rare, original drop rate. The change should encourage players to finish the dungeon once per day for your best opportunity to earn the mount while simultaneously so that it is so players don't feel instructed to grind the big event dungeon on multiple characters.

According to data from Wowhead, the chance of developing the X-45 Heartbreaker just before this change was estimated to be with .03% per dungeon run, a frustratingly low number that had been made a whole lot worse by the fact that the big event was only active a couple of weeks each year. The mount saw its name changed in 2021 included in Blizzard's efforts to create its MMORPG more inclusive amidst ongoing sexual harassment and discrimination lawsuits.

Though there's no word yet when a similar system will probably be applied to other holiday events later this coming year, Blizzard did state recently that it was researching solutions targeted towards "holiday events normally."

WoW's Love is within the Air event will commence on February 6. It comes hot about the heels on the MMO's new Trading Post feature, a battle-pass-like system where players earn its own currency by completing tasks that may then be exchanged for brand new or previously cash-shop-exclusive mounts and cosmetics. The game's next major update, patch 10.0.7, is slated to reach this spring, you need to include long-awaited Heritage armor sets for orcs and humans, new story content, along with a major rework for Retribution Paladins specialization.
