D2R Ladder Runes servers are problematic just as before today on October 11, 2021, as Blizzard investigates failed authentication.
Diablo 2 Resurrected's US servers are experiencing difficulty once again, marking the next day repeatedly when players have faced connection issues.
Blizzard is just as before facing complications with D2Rs servers. While the developer has yet to announce good news on its support Twitter, gamers are receiving trouble connecting to servers and messing around with their online characters. The official Battle.net client also warns users:
"We are sensitive to an issue that has effects on our authentication service, which could result in slow or failed login attempts. We are currently investigating the main cause and will provide updates as is also available."
The worry is the fact that Blizzard will do emergency maintenance again and go ahead and take servers offline. This could cause rollbacks, or even the servers reverting with a specific stage and basically erasing any progress made next specific point. This is utterly disastrous for a game like d2 resurrected runes.
That means if you locate a high rune or that perfect CoA following your rollback cutoff point your items will still only not exist. Any progress with level-ups, items found, or other changes made will probably be nixed if they're following your cutoff point. Any GG runewords will surely be reset. It'll be as if you hadn't even played.
This happened with yesterday's emergency maintenance, and I've seen multiple reports of gamers losing rare things like Harlequin's Crest Shakos, high runes (Vex, Lo, take your pick), together with multiple level-ups.
Rollbacks have invariably been an issue with Diablo 2 and Blizzard hasn't communicated these complaints to fans. Gamers simply sign in and realize a selection of their high-valued stuff is missing, nor always have a clarification, and that is one of the most frustrating things easy for an online-driven game.
