BETTER DAYS OBJECTIVES AND STRATEGY
1. The Aims of a Happier TomorrowYou are exploring the wilderness outside of Margrave when you come across a stunning painting
2. Zalan Coste didn't he ask to see more historical documents
3. A Walkthrough of Happier TimesFirst, locate the deteriorating old painting
4. After completing Legacies of Lights Watch, you can enjoy the sights of the Dobrev Taiga by going for a stroll there
5. You will eventually find a Faded Old Painting if you take your time, look through the pockets of some dead bodies, loot some chests, and kill some monsters
6. In the meantime, you can just enjoy the sights
Now, who do we know in the Margrave area who had an interest in historical items and documents, specifically? That's right, D4 Gold for sale (take a look)'s our good ol' pal Zalan Coste; here's hoping he's making a speedy recovery! The second step is to deliver the Painting to Zalan Coste. You can run, walk, skip, jump, or use a waypoint to teleport back to Margrave, where Zalan is still standing, and say hello to him. If you show him the painting, he'll be able to explain the bleak stance that the current climate of the Fractured Peaks has toward art.
Zalan, who is always interested in acquiring more information, expresses his gratitude to you and asks that you keep him in mind in the event that additional information regarding Margrave's history is discovered, whether it be on a decomposing corpse or in a dusty dungeon chest.
Hints and Suggestions for Happier TimesIf you want to find the painting while also finding the Altar of Lilith, which is located roughly in the middle of the Dobrev Taiga, it might not be such a bad idea to make finding both of those things your goal at the same time. In our overview of the Altars of Lilith, we have numbered it as number 25. We haven't finished our business with Zalan just yet; check out our walkthrough for the Unwritten End side quest to learn more about the next step in the chain.
Better Days RewardsA better day grants +20 Fractured Peaks as a reward. Renown, an amount of gold and experience that is proportional to the level, as well as a Salvage Cache.
