EA announced their top 100 athletes of the forthcoming FC 24 Coins soccer simulation game yesterday. Some familiar faces, such as Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar Jr., have topped the list in consecutive years, while some players aren't happy with their overall ratings. Each year each year, the FIFA top 100 creates controversy , and the current year's list is not exception with players complaining with EA.
Inter Milan forward Romelu Lukaku isn't happy about the FIFA 23 rating, even going to the extent of accusing EA Sports of messing with ratings to gain publicity. Lukaku has expressed his displeasure with EA following being left out of specific Ultimate Team packs and receiving an overall score of 85 in FIFA 22. Two rating points lower than the previous year. Although Lukaku was not a great player during his final season at Manchester, Lukaku returned to great form during his first season in Milan.
Romelu Lukaku scored 23 goals in his 36 appearances in the Series A competition, nearly more than doubling his scoring output from last year. Even with a huge improvement, Lukaku earned exactly the same rating during FIFA 23. Lukaku isn't the only top player who is dissatisfied with his rating.
Arsenal leading player Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was also given an unintentionally low rating despite being the second most prolific scorer in Premier League and securing a FA Cup victory. In lieu of making a fuss about EA of tampering with ratings to make a rise from players however, the Arsenal forward responded by sharing his rating along with an abundance of laughter emojis. Even with FIFA 22 being among the most played games in history there are many players and fans alike are not hesitant to express their displeasure at the franchise.
EA has always come at the center of buy Fut 24 Coins controversy for its ratings in its sports-related games, attracting complaints from both athletes and fans alike. Although athletes and fans may be more influenced by ratings but they are not the only ones. The Ultimate Team system presents even more issues because of the constant release of player cards that have various ratings all through the year. A lot of fans have demanded the protest against FIFA 23. believing that EA will not do anything to solve the complaints of the community.
