The best football related game is celebrating the World Cup in its own way.
You may not have noticed, but it's a World Cup year. There's only one World Cup that really counts, so if you're confused about which sport I'm talking about, that's on you. But I wouldn't blame you for forgetting, considering it's being held in December, all so that the corrupt entity that is FIFA can appease those with money and no consideration for Rocket League Credits human life. However, the slew of video game events and collaborations will probably remind you about the tournament, like in the case of Rocket League.
Considering it's a game of physics-defying car football, it only makes sense that Rocket League have a special event in celebration of the World Cup, and it's doing so via a collaboration with Nike. The Nike FC Cup is an in-game Rocket League event that will commence on November 17.
During that time, "players can complete in-game challenges to Buy Rocket League Credits unlock Nike Federation and Global Decals for dozens of countries," says the Rocket League website. "Football takes over the Item Shop with multiple Item Packs, including the Nike CR7 Pack inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo’s Mercurial boot. We’ll also introduce Fan Clash: Nike FC Cup, an international competition where players compete together for their country's glory and exclusive placement rewards.
The Nike FC Showdown limited time mode will then resume on November 30, adding all new themed cosmetics to the in-game shop. This mode will see "two teams square off with a Nike Ball, modified Mutator Settings, and intense 4v4 action. The newly designed Ball will curve and cut through the air depending on how you hit it, with a higher max speed and low bounce settings. These changes mean the ball will spend more time close to the ground, and it will be easier to dribble with the front of your car instead of the hood." It will be available till December 14.
