Players to bypass Elphael Brace of the Haligtree as well as the rest of the area by using the Elden Ring runes

While players are expected to take on incredible challenges in the Elden Ring and FromSoftware games, it is made clear in the marketing materials that they also understand that winning sometimes requires a more delicate touch. It is possible that players who choose to take an expedient route to a boss or objective will find themselves short on flask charges or FP just when they are most in need. One Elden Ring player has devised exactly such a shortcut for a notoriously difficult area known as the Brace of the Haligtree, which he has shared with the rest of the community.

Walking the path through the Brace of the Haligtree, starting with the opening Prayer Room grace and progressing toward the Elphael Inner Wall, the Haligtree Town Plaza, and finally down to the Haligtree Roots, is fraught with peril and danger. They wield explosive and poisonous sorcery, making them the most straightforward of the path's adversaries on this journey. Several encounters with two Cleanrot Knights have been reported, and they are frequently accompanied by other Cleanrot Knights. Not to mention the Scarlet Rot Erdtree Avatars, teleporting Revenants, Giant Miranda Flower, Crystallians, and an entire church full of Kindred of Rot that must be dealt with as well. It's also a labyrinth with several levels of difficulty.

Briefly stated, it would be preferable for players to unlock the Haligtree Roots grace first and then hunt for items at their own pace rather than competing against a real army rather than fighting against them. That's exactly what this skip is intended to allow you to accomplish. Also, it's an amusing skipper, the latest in a long line of amusing Elden Ring skips, and it exposes a fun trick that players might not otherwise be aware of when they're playing the game.

Leaving the Prayer Room grace as usual will get you past the first group of Haligtree Knights and then running until you reach the second arch extending out from the current level of the castle will get you to where you need to go. As you run out through this archway, make a slight drop onto the lip of the tower. After exploring the tower, the player will discover that it is hollow and will kill them if they fall from it, which is exactly what they will do if they are apprehended by the authorities. Then walk to the back corner of the inside of the tower, turn around so that you are facing the center of the structure, and leap. With luck, the elevator will rise, allowing the player to return to the surface and proceed directly to the Haligtree Roots without having to stop.

What the player is about to do is essentially a suicide drop onto the elevator's button, which is several stories below the ground level of the building. If the player positions himself correctly in the corner, his body will fall directly onto the button for the elevator that is directly below the player's head if he is in the correct position. It works as if the player had walked into the elevator as normal, allowing the player to use it indefinitely after that. Although the player has died, they will still have access to the item, which is just another buy Elden Ring runes bloodstain in the name of progress.

The final point to mention is that, while the skip appears cheesy, it actually does not take that much longer than a regular skip running from the Prayer Room to the Haligtree Roots. Knowing the right path to take is more important than being particularly timely or dangerous at the time of writing this article. Even if this only serves to make completing the Haligtree a little less stressful for some players, which it almost certainly will, it will have been well worth it.
