The message includes a link to a screen capture of a conversation with Zed, a person claiming to be a part of Riot's security department employee. It starts off well , saying that Riot's legal staff"is not super thrilled about your job unfortunately and LoL accounts is looking for a way to come to a mutually satisfactory ending to it"

But the tone varies quickly when the developer involved fails to instantly play with ball: Zed first suggests that Riot is watching the Chronoshift group's activities in real time (including supposed efforts to delete chat channels), and then produces a horizontal demand for your chronoshift.dev site, the source code, and all identifiable information that was shared with other developers.

"Give me exactly what I'm searching for and we won't sue. Refuse and we will," they stated. "I am not interested in dragging this out. If you believe you'd like to speak to legal representation you're certainly capable of doing this. I'm about the security staff. I find things and people. I do not practice law and have little/nothing to do with any legal proceedings Riot is included . We can come to an arrangement to finish this today or we can both hand this off to counsel. To be honest I do not care either way"

Handing off to counsel is how it ultimately went : A Riot rep confirmed now that the studio's legal team sent a letter to the Chronoshift developers yesterday,"formally asking they cease development on the job."

"Our stance on jobs such as Chronoshift is also explicitly called out buy LoL smurf accounts in part 3 of our authorized guidelines," the rep said. "We understand the Chronoshift staff is frustrated, but they shouldn't be astonished by our petition."
