The language in the contract provided the Madden 24 coins an insurance policy of some sort, which gave the league the possibility of a continuous stream of money and a buffer to allow the owners to keep the lockout as long as they want to.
Fans should be irate at both the Madden NFL 24 to a premeditated stoppage of work as well as DirecTV for its role in its support for the Madden NFL 24's scheme. DirecTV wanted the Madden NFL 24 and the rights to its RedZone Channel and Sunday Ticket, bending to the will of the league in the talks in 2008. The league leveraged this to create a situation in which an agreement to lockout the channel would be beneficial to the owners.
Seem fair? Sure, but it's not. From a common-sense perspective: Why does any organization ever receive more money if it chooses to shut down operations than not? The fact that the Madden NFL 24 negotiated its TV contracts while knowing it was in charge of a work stoppage -and was able to secure streams of revenues that would keep on and grow in the event of a lockout -- is the most obvious picture that we've seen regarding how the Madden NFL 24 planned for the CBA negotiations. It's not pretty.
In the wake of the ruling, and the publication of Doty's opinions it is a public relations nightmare for Madden NFL 24. The implications in the court of public opinion as well as at the bargaining table where there is a sense that the Madden NFL 24PA suddenly has a level playing field, will be severe for the league. But if it encourages both sides to agree to a deal then perhaps it's an advantage in the end.
San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Ray McDonald was arrested at 2:48 in the morning on Sunday for felony domestic violence, according to a report from Damian Trujillo of NBC Bay Area. San Jose police have confirmed the arrest to Trujillo. McDonald would be the first to test the Madden NFL 24's newly-introduced domestic violence rules. This could mean the 49ers lineman will face at the very least a six-game suspension.
"McDonald was taken into custody for the purpose of an incident, and cheap madden 24 coins was placed in Santa Clara County Jail on felony domestic violence charges," the San Jose police department informed Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area.
