Except JJ Arcega-Whiteside'd Alshon and 99 acc went into Madden 21 coins practice style with two receivers with equivalent height and weight along with ratings had 0. Alshon on the right is roughly one step short of where Arcega-Whiteside is on his side of the field. This was All-pro with pace parity set to 25. Here's the picture in reference. JJ also feels much easier coming out of juke moves, Alshon takes hitting on his second equipment than JJ does while not sprinting. Interesting! I'm guessing they are running In paths here? Can their route evaluations compare? My aim in having the players operate in a straight line was supposed to eliminate as many variables as you can, but it seems like I will need to generate a followup video to check into a lot of things, this!

I am pretty sure I just notice the difference with RBs. Low Acc RBs do not have second/third gear and it shows when they get hawked back on long runs.I always felt like my taller backs become caught less frequently. Idk it feels that way.Someone mentioned height being a factor in the YouTube remarks, I certainly think I'll need to look to it in a upcoming movie! Take my word for this, my big 6 foot encircle with 90 90 acceleration and speed get captured far less then a Phillip Lindsey kind back. But that's only if they achieve full stride.

Testing players running a route does not use acceleration ratings as far as the release evaluations are used by it. Yeah that's exactly what I was thinking, he has ta factor in release, as a backup RB Henderson has a RLS, trigger, and whether DRR factors in on 9 routes too, I wonder. However, do release ratings apply here? I'll be honest I am not 100% certain what release evaluations do, however according to a single user on Google:"Release is how successful your receivers (RB/WR/TE) are against press coverage. The greater your release score, the better you can beat press coverage" Came here to say this also. if anything I'd presume the HB would allow it to be later on a path. It matters when you've ball in hand and you do some guide jukes ect.

A test conducted a couple of months back and reached a different conclusion. You are right that you aren't likely to be able to tell the difference between a man with like 95 accel and 87 accel. But if you do an evaluation between two guys keeping everything else constant with one participant with 1 acceleration and the other there is a noticable difference. That you will definitely be able to tell the difference, in the event that you go to enjoy 70 vs 99 accel. Of course thats entirely impractical and wouldn't ever be something you would experience, but to say acceleration ratings are"literally meaningless" is a small reach. I agree they don't mean all that much.

I appreciate the comments man! It is probably worth look into in the future, although I guess it never crossed my mind to correct the participant evaluations to test the extreme ends of the spectrum. With respect to 70 vs 99 accel, that was actually why I showed we can forecast that the separation completely based on their pace, even though their acceleration ratings were 24 points apart and put the Tyreek Hill vs Nick O'Leary evaluation in there from But you are correct, a more accurate name would probably be"acceleration ratings have a negligible impact", but that's not going to buy Mut 21 coins grab people's attention as readily!
