4. Weapons and Animations
PoE 2 features fluid new animations, weapon types, and attack systems. Dual-wielding now allows different skills for each hand, while bow attacks are more dynamic with Path of exile currency aim and fire mechanics.
Important notes:
Bows have better synergy with traps and totems
Two-handed weapons have powerful sweeping skills
Daggers and claws suit crit-focused builds
Unarmed combat is a viable archetype with the Monk
Understanding weapon mechanics helps when planning your build. Choose weapons that match your intended damage type and speed.
5. The Passive Skill Tree
The iconic PoE passive skill tree returns, but each base class starts in a different location. It’s a massive web of interconnected nodes offering stat boosts, damage bonuses, life/mana increases, and keystone passives that fundamentally change how your character works.
Tips:
Plan your path using external tools (PoE 2 will likely have its own updated Tree Planner)
Prioritize life/defense early on
Take damage clusters that match your Path of exile currency for sale
build (e.g., elemental for caster, melee physical for warrior)
