Marksman Rifles – Deadly at Mid–Long Range
The standout marksman rifle is the M8A1, a four-round burst weapon that barely kicks at all. It rewards timing and accuracy and currently ranks as one of the best guns in BO7 Bot Lobbies the entire game.
Shotguns – Devastating in Tight Areas
Two shotguns appeared in early tests:
M10 Breacher – A pump-action shotgun capable of one-shotting enemies up close.
Echo 12 – A semi-auto that fires two rounds per trigger pull. Requires precision but hits extremely hard.
These are powerful but naturally limited to close-range situations.
Sniper Rifles – High Skill, High Reward
Snipers maintain their identity as long-range specialists:
VS Recon – Can down an enemy with a single upper-torso hit. Accurate and reliable, easily the best sniper right now.
XR-3 ION – Fires three-round bursts with a slight delay. Hard to use and inconsistent.
Testers overwhelmingly prefer the VS Recon due to its simplicity and one-shot capability.
Heavy Weapons, Launchers, and Melee
MK.78 LMG – Heavy, slow, but powerful with a huge magazine. Great for holding lanes.
A.R.C. M1 Launcher – No lock-on. Useful for destroying Scorestreaks but not great in normal fights.
Flatline MK.II Melee Weapon – High damage and occupies a dedicated melee slot. Fun for close-quarters play.
The Two Best Weapons in Black Ops 7 So Far
While several guns perform well, two stand out clearly:
M8A1 – Excellent long-range accuracy with minimal recoil.
Dravec 45 – Fast, stable, and deadly from close to mid-range.
These two weapons define the early BO7 meta and match the stats testers compiled throughout the beta.
