I want to know what skills I need to try and level up

So... I want OSRS gold to know what skills I need to try and level up. Along the way, I would love to create money, therefore, preferably skills that make money. The sudden demand for money because I died and lost my armor. Annoying.I'm currently wishing to return to Runescape and have several questions. I am an old school player who has been playing because RS Classic, and eventually quit playing once the new commerce rule came around some time back. I had a funny feeling it'd ruin the game, therefore I moved on World of Warcraft instead. Having noticed Runescape still going strong & not needing to carry on paying the ￡8.99 subscription fee for WoW, I have decided to return to Runescape and just put up with the new trade strategy. It can't be that bad I suppose.

- Having been outside of RS for a while now and never made a mage before I'm not quite sure where to begin. I've got an alt character (who I had been going to make to a ranger but never got around to it) who I'll be making to a Pure Mage. His stats are: Combat Level - 32, Defence - 20, Ranged - 40, HP - 31. His other stats are at 0 currently. Will his stats pose any issues, e.g. would I be better off starting from scratch as opposed to transforming this character into a mage?

- when I used to play there were things like Strength Pures etc, where their skills are something like the following: Strike - 60 (so they could wield Dragon weapons), Power - 99 (To strike harder naturally ), Defence - 0 to 60 (some retained it so their combat level was comparatively low, whereas others got it to 60 or even 70 in order to use Dragon etc). The point is there strength was their greatest combat skill so like I said above, their combat level was fairly low but they could hit very substantial numbers. This is kinda what I'd love to perform with my mage, but I'm not sure how to go about doing it. The problem with RS is (as I'm sure you all know) that when you raise a skill you can't decrease it & you're stuck using it, therefore I'd like to discover exactly what I am doing until I go about creating buy School RuneScape Gold this personality. What I do know though is that I want to maintain prayer at 1.
