I know I am gonna get hate for this but I really like the game so far and love the new shot meter. I genuinely believe this will be better than 20 and I will have fun on MT NBA 2K21. I don't despise them for making it the same because the new gen is coming out in two months lol. Obviously they're not gonna go all out trying to improve the images trigger that would be stupid to put all their time into it when the new gen is coming out in precisely the exact same time frame so they most likely directed their focus to next gen.
I understand that's a shitty thing in their part and that they haven't been reliable the previous 3 years but it's just like whenever the ps4 came out they stopped putting effort in their 2ks after which 2k14 on the PS4 was amazing and everyone loved it. Anyhow my point is I really enjoy what they've done with the meter and think it feels great and plays great so far and I'm not bashing them because of it looking exactly the same because it is supposed to look the same until next gen. Now if it's still awful and seems exactly the same and plays the exact same on next gen I will be sure be pissed and be done with 2k but like I know that is my view on things.
Dribbling was rather cruced that the way you do moves doesn't transition or correlate well. Like the new way to do a behind the back just does not flow well with different moves. I actually liked the dribbling more, seemed like it was harder to junk 1 move together a bundle and easier to chain different moves more smoothly, I believe as we get more used to the dribbling it might be a whole lot easier than 2k20. I really liked the dribbling longer, seemed like it was harder to junk 1 move together a bundle and easier to chain different moves more smoothly, I think as we get more accustomed to the dribbling it could be a whole lot better than 2k20.
The dribbling just feels like it has a low skill gap, and all the greater skilled moves (18 half twist, walkback combos, etc) all look clunky and embarrassing. Like in 19 or 17 that the highest skill moves flowed, and it felt as though you had full control over your own player. Even if it is miles better than 20 we're still a road trip away from another 2k. The simple fact that they left the stop a move from flicking up on the ideal rod into tapping on LT made me delete the demonstration real fast, idky they fucking alter shit every year for no reason it's so fucking annoying to learn standard shit again since they transfer it about for no reason. What do you want realistic dribbling or dribbling where you practically need to do nothing to pull off moves? Realistic dribbling is so easy. I heard all the realistic moves in 20 that the first few times the game dropped. The proficient shit such as the 18 half twist took way longer. It was not realistic. It generated a huge skill gap and has been fun as fuck though.
You can not have a considerable skill gap with sizeups that a movie of the stick the match is going to do to you. Its fun as it's simple to use and easy to chain. Realistic dribbling is how it needs to go for a true skill cap to come. The same as in real life the sport needs to have the ability to Buy NBA 2K21 MT divide the Kyrie's from the Pat Bevs in terms of hitting that it has yet to do besides just locking out animations for non ball control and simply producing high ball control only have faster dribbling.
