Diablo II: Resurrected Public Test Realms Launches Tomorrow Ladder Testing Soon

It seems Diablo II: Resurrected is taking steps forward on some long-promised features, because d2r items Blizzard has announced that the launch of the game's Public Test Realm (PTR) will go live on April 1st. Initially it appears that the PTR will be tested to see how new back-end server equipment, however Blizzard promises to test update 2.4 that finally adds Ladder Play, is "coming in the near future."

Like we said, as mentioned, update 2.4 will include Ladder play (Diablo's name for the game's competitive Realm where everybody's progress is measured and ranked) along with some adjustments to mercenaries. Similar to Diablo II Classic, Diablo II: Resurrected will feature four different Ladder modes. These include: Standard Ladder - The casual version of Ladder play that encompasses playing using four acts.Hardcore Ladder - The hardcore (only one time) variant of Ladder play that has an additional four acts.Standard Expansion Ladder - The less formal version of Ladder play that includes five acts, and includes"the "Lord of Destruction" expansion content.Hardcore Expansion Ladder is the hardcore (only one life) version of Ladder play , which consists of five acts, as it comes with the "Lord of Destruction" expansion content.

This is the first opportunity ever, players will be able to unlock a variety of newly-created Rune Words in the Ladder system! To clarify they are Rune Words have never existed in the game before and they will not be accessible in non-Ladder play as was the case with the previous set exclusive Ladder Rune Words in the original Diablo II experience.

At the end of the Ladder season players who have made them Rune Words will have their Ladder characters redirected to an "non-Ladder" variation of the game. Then at the beginning of new Ladder season will create a new Ladder character , and then start all over again in order to buy Diablo 2 Resurrected Items win new rewards.
